Privacy policy

Venio is a booking service made by Zaid Technology ("we") for barbershops ("shops"). This policy explains what information we collect when you book an appointment, join a walk-in line, or use a shop dashboard, and what we do with it. Each shop also controls the information about its own clients.
What we collect
- When you book or join the line: your name, mobile number and/or email, the barber, service and time you chose, any notes you leave, promo codes you use, and your visit history at that shop.
- If you create an account: your email, a password (stored scrambled, we can't read it) and the phone number you add.
- Payments: cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App Pay and Afterpay are handled by Stripe. Your full card number never touches our servers. We only keep the card brand and last four digits so you and your barber can recognize it.
- Reviews you leave after a visit.
- Shop staff: name, contact details, photo, schedule and payout status. Barbers' bank and identity details are given directly to Stripe, not to us.
- Basic technical data like your browser type and the pages you visit, used to keep the service working and secure.
How we use it
- To book, change and cancel your appointments and show them to the shop and your barber.
- To send booking confirmations and reminders by email or text (only to the contact details you give us).
- To charge you when you choose to pay online, after your visit with a card on file, or for a no-show fee when the shop has one and you saved a card.
- To link your past bookings to your account when you sign up with the same email or phone number.
- To give shops reports about their business (for example sales and busy hours).
- To prevent fraud and keep the service secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The shop and barber you book with. They see your name, contact details, visit history, notes and payment status.
- Service providers that run parts of the service for us: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and logins), Netlify (hosting), and our email and text message providers. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- When the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.
Text messages
If a shop sends text reminders and you give your mobile number, you may receive messages about your appointments. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts at any time, or HELP for help. We never send marketing texts without your permission.
How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as the shop uses Venio so they can see your history, and for as long as needed for taxes, disputes and fraud prevention. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices and rights
You can see your bookings in your account, update your details, remove a saved card, and cancel or reschedule online. California residents have the right to know what personal information we have about them, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to not be treated differently for using these rights. To make a request, email us from the address on your bookings.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit, payment data is held by Stripe, and access to shop data is limited to that shop's staff and Zaid Technology support. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
Children
The service is not meant for children under 13 to use on their own. A parent or guardian should book for them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
